Security Research Initiative
We are currently undertaking research into the security sector where the aim is to evaluate topics that are of importance to the security world, and to develop insights and practical recommendations. The Security Research Initiative is supported by the British Security Industry Association, The Security Institute, and ASIS International, and is being sponsored by 17 companies (see below).

We have commenced Phase II of the SRI, having already undertaken three major projects in Phase I. These were on the procurement of security (Click here if you would like to send us an email to request a PDF copy of the briefing guide for procurers), demonstrating the value of security (Click here if you would like to send us an email to request a PDF copy of the research findings) and organisational aspects of security (Click here if you would like to send us an email to request a PDF copy of this report).

Year 1 of Phase II involved the development of a web based security strategy toolkit, the toolkit is freely available at http://www.perpetuityconsultancy.com/securitystrategytoolkit.html. We have recently completed exploring the opportunities and barriers to partnership working between the police and private security and the report will be made available later in the year, please watch this space.

Building on the findings of Phase 1 the 2010/2011 project will identify the difficulties organisations have experienced in the procurement and selling of security and provide guidance and recommendations on how best to overcome these difficulties. For more information or to participate in this research please contact Charlotte Lawson via prci@perpetuitygroup.com or 0116 222 5555.
