Research Associates Specialising in Substance Misuse
Perpetuity is looking to enlist a pool of Associates across the UK with specialist expertise in substance misuse research.
With offices based in Leicester, the team of research staff work across the UK and are keen to expand their substance misuse research further. In doing so we are inviting applications from Associates across the UK with expertise in this field. We are particularly keen to hear from those with a health and/or criminal justice background.

Research Careers at Perpetuity
We have no specific vacancies available in the roles below at present, however we are always keen to hear from talented people who would be interested in working with us. We have a number of roles in research and consultancy. We also regularly use Associates who can work for us on a freelance basis.
Researchers /Consultants:
Experience in the relevant area: Crime Prevention & Community Safety or Security & Risk
Good knowledge and practical experience of methodologies
A high level of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to write accurate and concise reports
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
A background in policy development, project management or consultancy
A post graduate degree or equivalent
Excellent Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook skills are required and a knowledge of SPSS and/or Access would be an advantage
A full driving licence is preferable
Research Assistants/Analysts:
Appropriate basic knowledge and understanding of the relevant areas preferably acquired via experience and/or a willingness to develop an understanding of such issues
Experience in gathering and analysing quantitative and qualitative data
The ability to organise work and manage time efficiently with minimal supervision
A post graduate degree or equivalent qualification would be an advantage, but a relevant degree is essential
Excellent Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook skills are required along with the ability to conduct in depth internet research. A knowledge of SPSS and/or Access is preferable
Associates:
Experience in the relevant area: Crime Prevention & Community Safety or Security & Risk
Ability to work unsupervised
Ability to search and establish business contacts
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
